Streaming Video

Online videos are available from the music databases described below, which are licensed by the University Libraries for use by Penn State students and faculty for teaching, learning, and research

Request a Streaming Video for Teaching (for Instructors)

If you are not able to locate a music- or dance-related video in the databases described above which you need for teaching, please contact the Music & Media Center at musiccenter@psu.edu. The Music Librarian will collaborate with the library's Acquisitions Department to investigate the availability of the streaming video you need. 

DVDs

Penn State's libraries at every campus have DVDs and other videos. Altogether approximately 30,000 DVDs are available to Penn State library users. The DVDs and other videos can be requested from any Penn State library.

  • Click on Advanced Search and enter relevant search terms (such as words from the title, names of the director or actors) in the search boxes at the top of the screen.
  • Scroll down to "AND have these attributes."
  • From the Media Type menu, select DVD.
  • Click the blue Search button.

From the resulting list of DVDs, click on "View Availability" to see which libraries have a DVD. To request a DVD from any library, use the "I Want It" button and select your preferred pickup location from the menu.
