Welcome to the library guide for AMST 100:  Introduction to American Studies. This guide has been developed to help students succeed in the course, which emphasizes learning about the foundational theories, terminology, methods, and sources for research in American history and American culture as part of the American Studies Program in the School of Humanities at Penn State Harrisburg.  This course will also utilize different "lenses" (e.g, art, consumer and popular culture, folklore, gender, religion, etc.) to analyze historical events and time periods in the United States.
