Cut vinyl, iron-on materials, paper, and fabric with our Cricut Maker 3! Design Space software is available in the makerspace and can be used to design or upload vector images (in .SVG format).
Permanent vinyl, non-permanent vinyl, iron-on vinyl, cardstock, and felt materials are available to use in the makerspace. Decorate some of our blank materials or bring your own!
The makerspace offers two heat presses: one 9 x 9 inch and one mini. Heat presses help make customized t-shirts, tote bags, and other fabric materials. Iron-on vinyl is available in a variety of colors in the makerspace.
At the Thun Library Makerspace, we have one Prusa MK4 3D printer. We also offer a variety of PLA filament colors for printing projects.
Interested in 3D printing? Send a file our way, and we will print for you! Once your print is complete, we will send an email letting you know. 3D prints can be picked up at the library service desk. Tools to clean and customize your printed object are available in the makerspace during open hours or by appointment.
You can also schedule an appointment with makerspace staff to talk through your 3D print ideas before submitting the 3D print request form.
3D printing requests are completed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We ask that you allow at least 36 to 48 hours to complete your print (72 hours over the weekend). Print time may vary based on the size and density of the print. We also cannot guarantee a successful print. Please take this into consideration if you have a tight deadline.
Create your own custom pins with our Button Maker! Blank pin templates are printed and available to use in the makerspace.
If you would prefer to create a digital design, you can download the blank template and email your finished design to Annamarie Given (axg6125@psu.edu).
Make some extra pin? Share them with others in our Take a Pin, Leave a Pin bowl!
