Undergraduate Research Workshop Series

Research Freestyle

This workshop will focus on an interactive approach that concentrates on individual participants' unique research challenges - come prepared with questions! Anticipated topics of discussion may include: identifying gaps in the literature, search persistence and creativity, interpretation of nontraditional formats like data and visual media, active reading and synthesis strategies, source attribution/citation management, and more!

Designing & Creating a Research Poster

This workshop is designed for students at all stages of the poster creation process. Participants can expect to learn about best practices for creating visually appealing and effective posters, along with having the opportunity to put those best practices to use.

Presenting Research

This workshop will cover what to expect at a research poster exhibition, including what to bring, what to say, and how to leverage your research poster into new opportunities. This workshop is designed for anyone who wants to improve how they present and discuss their research with an audience. Participants will leave with an elevator pitch to share their research quickly and effectively with anyone they meet.
