This virtual Instruction COP Workshop critically examines privacy, the role of privacy in learning and scholarly inquiry, and privacy practices in contemporary academic library instruction.

Participants will learn current capabilities of personal data collection and use, consider the implications of personal data collection for open inquiry, and critically interrogate library and educational technology to develop best practices for learner privacy.

This blended learning workshop experience will combine synchronous and asynchronous engagements scheduled over a four-week period, from Mon. May 17 through Fri. June 11.

Participants can anticipate spending approximately 2 hours / week on workshop materials over the four-week period.
