In a world where we are inundated with information, how do you choose the best information?

Even (or particularly) when dealing with legal research, it is essential that you understand the quality of your sources and perspectives a particular source might be advocating.

It's helpful to remember WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, and WHY.

Who is making the claims or publishing the information?

What are they saying? Does it concur with other resources?

Where did you find the information? On the open web? In a legal report?

When was the information published? Has anything changed since then?

Why is this information being shared? To provide factual information? To persuade?
