Borrow

For items you find through library resources, simply click "I Want It", "Request", or "Get It!" buttons to submit requests.

You must have both a My Library Account and an ILLiad account

You need to keep a current address in both accounts, and specify World Campus as the pick up location.

Check your account status via these links:

Delivery

• Books will be sent via UPS to the address in your account but will not be shipped outside North America.
• Articles will be scanned and delivered to you in your ILLiad account.
• You can sign up for UPS My Choice® to track UPS shipment.

Return

• You can return the item on site at any PSU Library or by mail.
• A return mailing label will be included with the item.
• The library is covering return shipping costs and a return label will be provided in each outgoing package
• You are responsible for returning borrowed materials by the due date.
• You are responsible for any damage, so please wrap the items securely
• Return items to:

Quick fix for when you can't get to an article:

Try forcing the authentication protocol.  

Put  http://ezaccess.libraries.psu.edu/login?url=    immediately in front of the url in your browser's address bar.
Eg:  http://ezaccess.libraries.psu.edu/login?url=http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/book/9780125444224
where you replace http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/book/9780125444224 with the url to your resource
NOTE: Make sure there are no spaces in the url!

VPN (Virtual Private Network)

Most library resources do not require the VPN (Virtual Private Network) for off-campus access, however you can try logging in through the VPN if the options above are not successful or if help isn't available.

Want to use Google Scholar to find articles?

1. Create an account in google scholar, and sign into it when searching for articles
2. In your account settings, select "Library Links"
3. Type "Pennsylvania State University" in the search box
4. Select both "Pennsylvania State University - Get It! @ Penn State" and "Open WorldCat-Library Search". and click "SAVE"

This will allow Google Scholar to cross-check some of our subscriptions and give you full-text access with your PSU log-in.
