Find Articles
Extension Educators and Distance Researchers can request photocopies from print journals owned by the Penn State Libraries, as well as articles from journals not owned by Penn State.
Articles found via database searching
For most databases subscribed to by the PSU Libraries you will see 
in the results of your search. Click the button and often the full text of the article will display.
If the article is still not available, click the 
option to request a copy of the article.
Specific articles found via other means
Do you have the title and author of an article and just need to get to find the full text of that article? Google might work, but often doesn't if you are off campus or the article is available via a site not indexed by Google.
Try these options:
- Citation Linkertype the journal title into the correct box, add the year of publication, and as much other information as possible.
- Interlibrary Loan (ILLIAD)If you are still not finding what you need, submit a request for the title through ILLIAD, the Libraries' interlibrary loan service. First time users must register
Find Books @ PSU
- Catalog (Penn State University Libraries catalog) This link opens in a new windowthe list of what is owned by Penn State Libraries.
- Type in the exact title if you are looking for a specific book.
- Combine keywords to search on a topic then use the subject headings from relevant books for additional search terms.
- Type in the exact title if you are looking for a specific book.
Book Delivery
- For Electronic books, click the link under the words "online content" to access the full text
- For Print books click on the "I Want It" Button
- Enter your Penn State Access Account User ID and Password
- Select World Campus from the pickup location list
- Click on Place Hold
- Loans will be listed on your "My Library Account"
- Books will be sent via UPS or US Mail to the address in your ILLiad profile.
- An email will be sent when the requested loan is shipped.
Book Return
You are responsible for returning borrowed material to the Interlibrary Loan office at University Park on or before the due date. The library covers return shipping costs and a return label will be provided in each outgoing package. Please wrap items securely. You are responsible for any damage incurred upon returning. You also can return the books to any Penn State University Libraries campus or branch library circulation desk.

Find Books not at PSU
If you know the item you want, and Penn State does not own it, use Interlibrary Loan!
