These collections document politics, politicians, and political movements in 20th century Latin American and Spain. Particularly rich are materials documenting Peru, its first political party Alianza Popular Revolucionaria Americana (APRA), and its leadership. The Peruvian politician Luis Alberto Sánchez' papers further document the overlapping left-wing political and cultural networks throughout Latin America. Researchers should note that these collections frequently document dictatorships, political repression, and violence. Materials include books, clippings, correspondence, pamphlets, propaganda, and other materials.
