Online Language Learning Programs

The following resources are freely available through Pennsylvania public libraries with a library card. To sign up, contact your local public library branch.

Transparent Languages Online
Online language learning platform that includes vocabulary lists, a grammar reference section, and cultural resources on over 100 languages (including multiple ESL programs for speakers of a variety of languages).
Mango Languages
Online language learning for over 60 languages, with a focus on "real-world" conversation integrating components of vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and culture.

Duolingo
Free language-learning courses in over 35 languages.
Busuu
Social network for learning languages that provides learning units for twelve languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Turkish, Arabic, Japanese, and Chinese.
