History of Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campus

This is a guide to resources available on the history of Penn State Wilkes-Barre's campus and Hayfield House, the original campus building.

Hayfield House History Sources

Hayfield House was the first building on campus. Prior to that it was the home of Bertha and John Conyngham. When Bertha died in 1964 she left the house, 19 car garage (now the Student Commons) and the farm to her nephew Richard Robinson. He in turn gave Hayfield House, 50 acres and the garage as a gift to Penn State Wilkes-Barre.
