Penn State York Library Instructional Support

This guide presents an overview of library services for Penn State York students and faculty

Ask Me

Through the Penn State University Libraries, you have access to millions of books and hundreds of academic databases. Add to that the countless resources available on the open Internet and a simple research task can quickly become complex.

As you engage in research, you may have questions about:

  • Transforming a broad topic into a manageable question
  • Finding relevant and credible information on your topic
  • Searching library resources
  • Citing your sources
  • Getting technology to cooperate

Ask me, Joel Burkholder, for help!

You can usually find me in my office, Monday through Friday (8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). Feel free to stop by any time!

If you would like to schedule a time to meet, just let me know.

Ask a Librarian

If I’m not available, please use Penn State University Libraries’ Ask a Librarian service.

This virtual service is staffed by librarians from across the entire University.

Access it any time by clicking on Ask a Librarian logo (located on the left-hand side of every University Libraries webpage).

Citing Sources

We have the following handouts available at the service desk in the library at Penn State York:
