To find print and electronic materials in the University Libraries, use the library catalogSince Latin American Studies is interdisciplinary, related materials are scattered throughout our holdings and are organized by subject. That is, materials on Latin American economics will be found in our economics collection, Latin American novels in our literature collection, and so forth. The most efficient way of searching is to enter two (or more) search terms using the advanced search option.

When you find a useful book, take note of the subject headings. Clicking on subject headings will take you to additional books on the subject.

When you locate your item you have two choices:

Print books

You can request the item using "I want it" on the item record and pick it up at the Pattee/Paterno Common Service Desk. Or, you can retrieve the book yourself from either Pattee/Paterno stacks. If you choose this option, make sure you write down the location and call number of the item.

Electronic Books

Access to digital content may vary, but in many cases you will be able to download materials in pdf format.
