In Compendex and other databases, start with the "thesaurus" under the "search" link to explore recommended wording for your search. Along with "mechatronics," Compendex's thesaurus recommends broader, related, and narrower keywords such as:

• Computer control systems
• Electronics engineering
• Industrial robots
• Intelligent control
• Intelligent mechatronics
• Mechanical engineering
• Robots
• ... and other phrases.
