LSEG Workspace

Guide to accessing analyst/aftermarket research reports via LSEG Workspace

About LSEG Workspace

LSEG Workspace is a financial database that includes:

  • public company financials and SEC filings
  • earnings estimates
  • transaction data
  • analyst research
  • market and industry data
  • and more

The Penn State University Libraries (PSUL)'s subscription includes access to the Aftermarket Research (AMR) module that was previously available under the name Investext in Mergent Online.

You must register for a LSEG Workspace account using your Penn State email address to access the database. PSUL's subscription to LSEG Workspace is limited to 100 active accounts/"seats". User accounts expire after 24 hours to enable other Penn State users to access the database; however, you can register again each day as long as one of those seats is available.

As of June 30, 2025, Mergent Online will no longer be supported by the vendor. It will be replaced by LSEG Workspace along with Mergent Market Atlas.

Create an LSEG Workspace account

To get started:

  1. Create an account at https://myaccount.lseg.com/productregistration.html using your Penn State email address.
  2. Go to your Penn State email and open the Refinitiv "LSEG Email Verification" message. Click on the link to continue.
  3. In the User Location drop-down menu, select Pennsylvania State University Library.
  4. Enter your first and last name.
  5. In the Reference drop-down menu, select your affiliation: Faculty, Staff, Graduate Student, or Undergraduate Student.
  6. For investors reports (previously known as Investext), in the Optional add-ons drop-down menu, select AMR (Aftermarket Research).
  7. Check the box to agree to the Privacy Statement and click Register Now.
  8. In ~20 minutes you'll get a welcome email from LSEG (formerly Refinitiv) that confirms your account is ready. Please be patient and wait for this email before trying to connect to LSEG Workspace. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
  9. Your account will auto-expire in 24 hours to enable other Penn State users to access this limited-account database. You may register again anytime.
