Instructional Materials

The Education and Behavioral Science Library at University Park has a collection of instructional materials including textbooks, games, manipulatives, kits, and instructional multimedia.

To find instructional material, such as books and multimedia for use in teacher training and in educational settings:

  • Use Advanced Search in the CAT
  • Select Instructional Material under Material Type
  • Enter your search terms, such as deaf education, or developmental disabilities

Many Commonwealth Campus libraries also have collections of instructional material. Various campuses call these "curriculum materials," or house them along with other children's/juvenile literature.

Manipulatives, such as models, puppets, and toys, can be used in a variety of ways in educational settings. To locate manipulatives found in the Education and Behavioral Science Library:

  • Use Advanced Search in the CAT
  • Under Location, select Ed. & Behv. Sci., 501 Paterno - Kits
  • Enter a search term in the keywords field, such as hand puppets, or ear model
