How to Annotate:

  • Explain the main points of the article.
  • Describe critical information that will help you write the paper?
  • Discuss the value of the source to your research.

How to Format:

  • Citations and annotations are double spaced.
  • Citations are listed in alphabetical order by the last name of the author.
    • The first line of the citation begins at the left margin. Subsequent lines are indented 5 spaces.
  • Under each citation write the annotation for that source.
    • The annotation begins 5 spaces from the left with block justification.
