MOOCs for Educators

resources for educators developing or supporting Massive Open Online Courses

Getting Started

  • The University Libraries supports faculty, instructional designers, and staff who are developing MOOCs (massive open online courses) for Coursera and other for-profit platforms that may be used by Penn State University faculty.
  • This guide may contain resources that are copyright protected or have licensing restrictions.
    • In some cases it is recommended faculty contact rights holders and request permission to use or to pay requested fees to allow use of copyright or licensed materials.
    • When rights cannot be obtained, the sources listed on the following pages are recommended for identifying resources which can be used in MOOCs.
