Even though the United States was a founding member of the UN our relationship is not without challenges.   We have withdrawn or threatened to withdraw from UN agencies, we have withheld funding from some agencies, and in every congress there is legislation passed that impacts how the federal government can interact with UN programs and agencies.   Here are a few resources to begin to examine those relationships.
