Programs, funds, and specialized agencies

The UN organizations, often called the "UN family of agencies" is composed of many programs and funds and independent specialized agencies.  Most of these organizations have separate administrative functions and budgets.   The family includes such well known agencies as the UN Development Program (UNDP), UNICEF, the World Food Program, and and the UN Environment Program (UNEP).  It also includes major international agencies such as the well known agencies as the World Bank, IMF, Food and Agriculture Organisation, and the World Health Organization.

Each of these organizations have their own websites with extensive information on their activities and programs.
