E-Books

  • Search for your topic in LionSearch
  • Check the box for Items with full text online under Refine Your Search, and also the box for Book/eBook under Content Type
  • Most E-books have built-in accessibility features, such as text magnification and text-to-speech.

Audiobooks

LionSearch

  • Search for a topic, author, or title
  • Select "more" under Content Type and check the box for Audio Recording

This will retrieve all types of audio recordings, including music, so try including the term "audiobooks" (e.g., harry potter and audiobooks)

The CAT

  • Select Advanced Search
  • From the "Material Type" box choose "audio material"

This will retrieve all types of audio recordings, including music, so try using "audiobooks" in the keyword box

Braille Books

The Libraries has a small selection of books in Braille at University Park, mostly juvenile books located in the Education and Behavioral Science Library and government publications located in the Government Documents collection.

  • Use Advanced Search in the CAT and enter Braille books in the subject field
  • Select either Book or Juvenile Book under Material Type

Large Type Books

The Libraries has about 170 books in large type, held in the Leisure Reading Collection at University Park, and at the Commonwealth Campus Libraries.

  • Use Advanced Search in the CAT
  • Enter large type books in the subject field
  • Narrow your search by entering an author, title, or subject
